I have over 25 years teaching experience working in the South Yorkshire area, which covers the city of Sheffield and the neighbouring towns of Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster, specialising in primary education. During this time, I have worked with children of all ages. I also became a lead literacy teacher and have worked for the local authority in an advisory role. I am highly experienced working with children with SEND.
I am dedicated to working with and offering support for children and young people who are experiencing the difficulties associated with dyslexia. I truly believe that for students to become confident, independent learners, their individual needs should be identified and personalised programmes implemented for them to reach their full potential.
I am an Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA) and hold a current Assessment Practising Certificate (APC). I also hold a full enhanced DBS certificate, hold professional indemnity insurance and am registered with the ICO.
